Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the Resolve website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Resolve.
Description of Services
Resolve provides online and in-person psychotherapy services through licensed Registered Psychotherapists. Our services include:
- Individual psychotherapy sessions
- Specialized programs for trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, and other mental health concerns
- Assessment and treatment planning
- Coordination with other healthcare providers
- Return-to-work support and workplace mental health programs
Eligibility
Our services are available to individuals who are 18 years of age or older, or minors with appropriate parental/guardian consent. You must be physically located in a Canadian province where our therapists are licensed to practice at the time of your session. You are responsible for ensuring you have a private, safe space for virtual therapy sessions.
Professional Services Disclaimer
Important: Our services are not a substitute for emergency mental health care. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please:
- Call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room
- Contact a crisis line (Canada: 1-833-456-4566)
- Contact your local distress center
Our therapists are licensed professionals who provide evidence-based treatment. However, therapy outcomes vary based on individual circumstances, and we cannot guarantee specific results.
User Responsibilities
By using our services, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information during registration and throughout treatment
- Attend scheduled appointments or provide adequate notice for cancellations
- Participate actively and honestly in the therapeutic process
- Not record therapy sessions without explicit consent from your therapist
- Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials
- Use our services only for lawful purposes
- Inform your therapist of any changes in medication or treatment from other providers
Appointment and Cancellation Policy
We understand that schedules change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:
- 24+ hours notice: No charge for cancellation or rescheduling
- Less than 24 hours notice: Full session fee may be charged
- No-show: Full session fee will be charged
Exceptions may be made for emergencies at the discretion of Resolve.
Payment Terms
Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise arranged. If your services are covered by an employer, insurance, or third-party payer:
- We will bill the appropriate party directly where applicable
- You are responsible for any amounts not covered by third-party payers
- You are responsible for understanding your coverage limits and benefits
Confidentiality
Your privacy is paramount. All communications with your therapist are confidential, with the following exceptions required by law:
- Imminent risk of harm to yourself or others
- Suspected abuse or neglect of a child, elder, or vulnerable person
- Court order or legal requirement to disclose
- When you provide written consent for disclosure

Intellectual Property
All content on the Resolve website, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Resolve and is protected by Canadian and international copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without express written permission.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Resolve and its therapists shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid for services in the twelve months preceding any claim.
Termination
Either you or Resolve may terminate the therapeutic relationship at any time. Your therapist will provide appropriate referrals when clinically indicated. Resolve reserves the right to terminate services for violation of these terms, non-payment, or behavior that threatens the safety of our staff or other clients.
Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our services shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on our website. Your continued use of our services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
